There is an effort underway to set up Disaster Preparedness Networks , at the block level, throughout Burlingame to enable a greater degree of self sufficiency in the early days after a major disaster. These networks also help neighborhoods come together and build a sense of community.

Burlingame Neighborhood Network - Getting Started– This cheatsheet provides information on what Neighborhood Network is and the steps to establish a Disaster Preparedness Network on your block. It also includes some key terms and links to important websites.
Contact Information Form – You can use this form to collect information from the members of your block and build your “Block Directory” and “Private Directory”. The Block directory can be shared with other members on your block. The Private directory is just held by the block leader.
Block Captain Privacy Agreement – This is the privacy form for block captains, the individuals who hold the private directories for their block.
